The BCDE ITMO is proposing funding two collaborative projects (€15 thousand per project) in the areas of rare diseases and cellular and developmental biology.
The purpose of this action is to foster research projects on the study of rare diseases thanks to cellular and animal models, a theme that was developed at the "Rare diseases and Model organisms" conference on October 8-9, 2012 organized by the BCDE ITMO in collaboration with the Genetics, genomics and bioinformatics ITMO and the Rare Diseases Foundation, and in the extension of the "Taking the step towards clinical research" day of January 20, 2012, and will be used to initiate collaborative projects in order to characterize a pathological process linked to a rare disease on the scale of a cell or model organism.
The projects will have to combine two teams with complementary skills working in the areas of cellular biology, developmental biology, clinical research or human genetics.
