Along with the French National Solidarity Fund for Autonomy (CNSA), French Directorate for Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (DREES), French Graduate School of Public Health (EHESP), Public Health Thematic Multi-Organization Institute (ITMO) and Health Technologies ITMO, the French Institute for Public Health Research (IReSP) is organizing a symposium entitled Disabilities: economic and social challenges - how research can contribute” at the French Ministry of Social Affairs and Health in Paris on October 9 and 10, 2013.
This symposium will look at three themes: 1) Rights and participation: how do disabled people find out about their rights and how do they exercise these? 2) Schooling of disabled children, student training and occupational integration and 3) Loss of autonomy: economic challenges. This symposium is open to researchers and academics as well as political decision-makers, healthcare professionals and associations.
This symposium is free but online registration beforehand is mandatory. Final registration will then be confirmed by the IReSP based on the number of places available.
