Call for proposals: Epigenetics and cancer

27

10

2014

Objectives: To develop a better understanding of the epigenetic mechanisms associated with cancer by making particular use of recent advancements such as the possibility of obtaining high-quality reference maps of epigenomes. These proposals should make it possible to open the door to innovative concepts that can contribute to clarifying the processes connected with the development of tumours and their possible recurrence.

This call for proposals is being organised jointly by the cancer multi-disciplinary research group of Aviesan (National Alliance for the Life and Health Sciences) and the National Cancer Institute. Operational management is the responsibility of Inserm.

Call for research proposals in the field of multi-disciplinary approaches to modelling for complex biological processes (systems biology)

27

10

2014

The general aim of this call for proposals is to support the multi-disciplinary research required (mathematics, physics, chemistry, I.T., biology) in order to advance toward the modelling of complex processes and an integrative biology in the field of cancer. In particular, it must enable the development of integrated multi-disciplinary teams interacting with clinicians, anatomical pathologists and biologists in the field of cancer.

This call for proposals is being organised by the cancer multi-disciplinary research group of Aviesan (National Alliance for the Life and Health Sciences) together with the National Cancer Institute. Operational management and follow-up are the responsibility of Inserm.

2014

Objectives: To increase interest in cancer research among physicists and mathematicians. To support research projects in physics and mathematics that are part of a medical approach to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

This call for proposals is organised jointly by ITMO Cancer and ITMO Health Technologies of the French National Alliance for Life Sciences and Health (Aviesan), in collaboration with the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). Inserm has been entrusted with the operational management.

Call for Proposals on Cancer and Environment

06

10

2014

Objectives: To enable the development of new tools for evaluating environmental factors—in the broad sense—in the occurrence of cancer. To provide better basic knowledge of these effects on the occurrence and development of cancers resulting from exposure to environmental factors, including chemical, biological and/or physical agents generated, for example, by housing, urbanisation, or climatic factors.

This call for proposals is jointly organised by ITMO Cancer of the French National Alliance for Life Sciences and Health (Aviesan) and the French National Cancer Institute (INCa). Inserm has been entrusted with the operational management.
